EPA immediately sued over plans to repeal climate rules for power plants
Public health groups have sued the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) over its plans to repeal a rule that regulates greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. The rule, which was put in place in 2015, requires power plants to limit their carbon emissions. The groups claim that repealing the rule will result in billions of dollars in health costs for Americans. The lawsuit was filed in a federal court in Washington, D.C.
