AI is feared globally as the destroyer of jobs
A new global survey by Pew Research found that a majority of people see AI as a threat, particularly in its impact on jobs, with 58% of respondents in the US, 60% in Europe, and 61% in Asia saying that AI will cause significant job losses. The survey, which polled 42,151 people across 37 countries, also found that people in many countries believe AI will exacerbate income inequality and make life more difficult. The survey was conducted from February 8th to May 13th, and the results come ahead of recent warnings about AI's potential impact.
