Boston dumps Flock, says it shared data nationwide in violation of contract

The city of Boston has ended its contract with Flock, a private company that provides a mobile app for parking and traffic management, after discovering that the company had enabled a feature that allowed nationwide lookup despite a contract requiring it to be disabled. The feature allowed users to look up license plate numbers from any state, not just Massachusetts, which was not in line with the city's requirements.
