GM updates its trucks’ native software to coexist with CarPlay

General Motors has updated the software in its trucks to improve user experience and reduce tapping and swiping to access controls. The update also adds picture-in-picture displays for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which is a change from GM's previous stance against phone mirroring. The update aims to make it easier to use the most-used controls while driving.
