Dutch governments builds alternative for Microsoft based on NixOS

The Dutch government has created an alternative to Microsoft Windows and Office, based on the NixOS operating system. The new operating system is called 'Dawo', and it's designed to be highly secure and customizable. Dawo is being developed by the Dutch government's IT agency, SURFnet, in collaboration with the NixOS project. The new operating system is expected to be released in 2023.
