Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar gives Google’s AI a face

Google has released Gemini 3.8 Live, an update to its conversational AI model, which features a new 'Live Avatar' that allows users to have real-time conversations with the AI while watching an animated AI persona respond with lip-synced facial expressions. The feature is currently only available to Gemini Enterprise customers and can transition between 97 different facial expressions.
